It takes just $31 to make a difference in a child’s life. 💛📚💙

On this 31st of August, we are inviting you to join Diane’s Library 31 Club. Your $31 donation provides an entire year of free, high-quality books to one child through Diane’s Library.

Every book helps build a love of reading, encourages family storytime, and gives children the opportunity to grow through the joy of books.📕

As a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, Diane’s Library relies on the generosity of our community to continue providing free books to local children. Every donation makes a difference, and all donations are tax-deductible.🫶

As we remember Dolly Parton,
her family has asked that instead of flowers, people support the Imagination Library.

📚 Visit www.dianeslibrary.org to join the 31 Club and make a lasting impact in NH with a one-time or recurring donation.

Five year old Cormac, like every child who graduates from Diane’s Library & Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, receives the same final book: Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come! And tucked inside the back cover of each copy, Dolly left an encouraging, heartfelt note. 🫶 Swipe ➡️

For the kiddos and parents lucky enough to read them on the page, those words hit home. Today, they are felt deeply by all of us. 💔 They read like a promise she needs us to keep. Keep reading. Keep dreaming. And keep her kindness in mind.

We are proud of Cormac, and every child heading off to school this week. Look out, kindergarten — they’ve been raised on Dolly’s dreams & Diane’s library — here they come! 💛📚💙

A Quick Update for Our Diane’s Library Families & Community

We know that some of you have been experiencing difficulties accessing the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library website or completing registrations over the past few days. We’ve received several messages from families, and we want you to know that the Imagination Library team is aware of the issue and is actively working to resolve it.

The incredible outpouring of love and support following Dolly’s passing has brought an unusually high number of visitors to the Imagination Library website. While it is certainly causing some temporary technical challenges, it is also a beautiful reminder of just how many lives Dolly touched and how deeply people believe in the mission she created. 💛

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while the team works to get everything running smoothly again.

Below is the official update we received from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library:

"Thank you so much for your interest in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. We are so grateful to see the outpouring of love and support for the legacy Dolly left behind. Due to the outpouring of support after Dolly’s passing, our website is currently experiencing extremely high volume which is causing some pages to not load properly. We are working to add additional server bandwidth and we appreciate your patience while we get things working more smoothly.

Nothing is more important to us than getting a book into your child's hands, so please come back and visit us again soon. We apologize for the inconvenience."

Diane’s Library on WMUR!

We are so grateful to WMUR and Kaitlin Corbett for helping share the story of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and the difference these books are making in the lives of New Hampshire children.

And an extra special thank you to one of our wonderful Diane’s Library families for opening their home and sharing what the program has meant to them. ❤️

Seeing a child surrounded by the books they’ve received is the best reminder of why this mission matters.

Dolly dreamed it. Together, we’ll keep it going.

Watch the story below! 👇

Dolly Parton was known for her incredible voice, songwriting talent and her desire to give back to people across the world, with her generosity even reaching the Granite State.

Today, our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to a woman whose life proved just how far one dream — and one generous heart — can reach.

The world knew Dolly for her unmistakable voice, her music, her humor, her kindness and her Coat of Many Colors. But to millions of children and families around the world, she gave something perhaps even more lasting: the belief that every child deserves the chance to dream.

Dolly created the Imagination Library in honor of her beloved father, who never had the opportunity to learn to read or write. What began with children in her hometown grew into a movement that put books — and dreams — into the hands of millions of children around the world.

At Diane’s Library, we are honored to carry her mission forward — putting books into little hands, planting the seeds of big dreams, and spreading her love of reading one book at a time.

Thank you, Dolly — for the music, the laughter, the books, and for believing so fiercely in the potential of every child.

The Book Lady may be gone, but her story is far from over.

We will always love you!

We often say, “Children are the future.”

But the future doesn’t begin someday.

It begins right now — in the stories we read to them, the words they learn, the curiosity we encourage, and the moments spent turning pages together.

The first five years of a child’s life lay the foundation for so much of what comes next. When we put books into the hands of young children, we’re doing more than helping them learn to read. We’re helping them imagine, discover, dream, and prepare for the world ahead.

At Diane’s Library, we believe that if children are our future, investing in them should start from the very beginning.

Because every child deserves a strong first chapter.

Start them young!

A baby may not understand every word of a story, but they know the sound of Dad’s voice, the comfort of being held, and the joy of sharing a moment together.

Reading from the very beginning helps build language, connection, and a love of books long before a child can read on their own.

It’s never too early for a story. ❤️

At Diane’s Library, we believe every child deserves to grow up surrounded by books — starting from the very beginning.

You can help us on our mission to deliver these moments to children in the community. You can donate at www.dianeslibrary.org
