What a day! 💜

Take a look back at the 14 volunteers from Friday's PulteGroup and Pulte Homes Southwest Florida outreach day. The volunteers spent a day at The Zulu Project cleaning and lining shelves, getting homes ready for the veterans who will live there.

Days like this remind us that keeping those who served housed takes a whole community. Every pair of hands and every hour given helps turn an apartment into a home, and this team made it fun.

Thank you for rolling up your sleeves and showing up for our local veterans. We're so grateful to have neighbors like you in our corner!

Thank you Pulte Homes Southwest Florida and the PulteGroup 💜

14 volunteers from PulteGroup and Pulte Homes came out to clean and line shelves in 5 units at The Zulu Project, helping get each home ready for the veterans who will live there. PulteGroup is also managing the renovations at The Zulu Project, and this hands-on day meant a lot to us.

While they were here, our President & Founder, Dale Mullin, gave the team an overview of Warrior Homes of Collier and the services we offer to keep our local veterans housed.

And a special thank-you to MISSION BBQ for providing a delicious lunch for our volunteers! Check out nearby locations in Naples, Fort Myers, and Cape Coral!

It takes a community to keep those who served housed. Thank you to everyone who volunteered today for your time and your heart for our veterans.

An update on The Zulu Project from Warrior Homes of Collier.

Zulu is on track to open later this year and will house up to 20 more veterans in safe, clean, dignified homes. When it opens, Collier County will reach functional zero for veteran homelessness. That means any homeless veteran who wants a place to call home will have one.

Zulu will also be home to the Pegasus Landing Pad. It's an on-site space for classes, wellness checks, and case management that helps residents stay housed for the long term.

You can be part of our mission to end veteran homelessness: naming opportunities are open throughout the property, including apartment plaques, benches, engraved bricks, and outdoor spaces; each one can be dedicated to a veteran or loved one. 95 cents of every dollar raised goes directly toward serving veterans.

Behind many of the veterans we serve, there is a family.

Since 2020, Warrior Homes of Collier has helped 23 veteran families, including 43 children. Some are single parents, others are married couples with kids, and all of them served our country.

Veteran homelessness affects more than the veteran. It affects the children who depend on them. When we help a veteran find stable housing, we are helping the whole family build a steadier future.

We do not just help veterans; we help veteran families.

🇺🇸 Honoring Gold Star Mothers

This Sunday, September 27, is Gold Star Mother's Day.

Since 1936, our nation has set aside the last Sunday in September to honor mothers who lost a son or daughter while serving in our Armed Forces.

Their children gave everything for our country. These mothers carry that loss every day, with a strength and grace that deserve our deepest gratitude.

At Warrior Homes of Collier, we stand with Gold Star Mothers and their families, here in Collier County and across the nation.

This Sunday, please take a moment to remember. If you would like to honor a fallen service member, share their name in the comments. We will remember them with you. 💜 🇺🇸

🎾 It Takes a Community: Thank You, IslandWalk!

The IslandWalk Racquet Sports Community took to the courts for our local veterans, and their tennis fundraiser raised $3,125 for Warrior Homes of Collier.

It takes a community to end veteran homelessness. Everyone who picked up a racquet or cheered from the sidelines is part of that work. Since opening our first home in 2020, neighbors like these have helped us house 158 veterans in Collier County.

With 95 cents of every dollar going directly toward serving veterans, your support goes a long way.

They served our country, and now IslandWalk is serving them. Thank you! Our work is not finished, and we are grateful to have this community with us.

Rapid housing means RAPID HOUSING. 🇺🇸

Yesterday, 80-year-old U.S. Marine veteran Wes was sleeping in his car. Today, Warrior Homes of Collier secured him a hotel room. That's Dale in the photo, helping him check in.

This is why we do what we do. No veteran should spend a single night in his car, least of all a Marine who has already given this country so much. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 Welcome Home, Butch!

After 10 years of homelessness, 66 year old U.S. Marine Corps veteran Butch has a home.

His sister in Massachusetts told him about Warrior Homes of Collier and urged him to reach out. Butch walked into our office, and we quickly arranged a hotel stay for him until a bed opened at Charlie House.

Last week, Charlie House residents Gary and Bob welcomed him in. Veterans welcoming veterans is what our homes are built on.
