Empty Meow Corral, Inc

Empty Meow Corral, Inc I am dedicated to saving feral & abandoned cats in my area through the power of education and TNR. Thank you for visiting my page. Rusti ~ Hello there !
(271)

I am a non-profit organization and rely on help by good animal loving people like you. Welcome to our page where we are dedicated to saving and caring for feral felines in our community through the power of education and the practice of TNR. My name is Rusti, and I have built a little bit of kitty heaven. I am dedicated to saving as many ferals as I can and am passionate about educating others on how to combat the astronomical numbers of feral cats world wide ! I release most ferals I trap but will keep all kittens, pregnant mommas and sick or injured kits. The kits I have at my facility now are ones that never left once released or have a lower survival rate in the swamp, so I have integrated them into my existing colony. It's hard work and it's not cheap, but I do what I can with what I've got. If you would like to help us, please consider making a small donation to our PayPal at [email protected] or from our secure website : www.emptymeowcorral.com. I also have an online store filled with great items to choose from. Every purrchase you make allows me to save & care for more feral cats ! Visit my store here :

https://www.etsy.com/shop/EmptyMeowCorral

Each purrchase goes towards the costs of food, medicine, vet visits, TNR , building materials and safety
of our feral enclosures and rescues ! Please don't be confused as to our practices :

Please understand that due to my facility size and low funding that I can't always take in unwanted kits or domestic house cats. I have a very specific niche working with ferals and focus mainly on this area. I will however always be willing to help you and point you in the right direction if you need help homing non ferals. Please help support our efforts. We are a non-profit company EIN # 93-3859085 and survive only with your help ! Visit our website for added information and you can also DONATE HERE : www.emptymeowcorral.com

The EMC wish list is all new and is filled with items we REALLY need. Not just food and litter, but things for our remodel process and new enclosure. Misting fans to help keep the kits cool in the swamp. Cleaning supplies, trash bags, paper towels.... all the things an animal sanctuary goes through quickly. Would you kindly take a look at our entire list and see if there is something you could send us ? Thank mew !!

This is Dakota ~ 🐈
She is one of the Soprano clan. She is very affectionate, but only on her terms. She will tolerate being picked up but would rather just rub all over your legs and bring you toys. And as always.... she, like most all of the other kits, love curling up with this cat statue. 😺

Have a wonderful day my furiends!!

Coda ~
This little special needs kit is such a joy ! Most of you know her, and know that she is mostly blind, has stunted growth, her joints are deformed, her eyes constantly weep, and her teeth never developed correctly and are all jagged. Despite all that, Coda has such a huge purrrsonality and is quite quirky and full of energy ! She makes me smile, and I hope she does the same for you.

Enjoy your day my furiends. 😺

Leo ~
His full name is Leopold. He and his sister Gina were abandoned one night when some hooman jerk threw them both out of his car. Thankfully a friend of mine just happened to witness it and she brought them to the EMC around midnight. I have had them now for about 2 years and am so happy they we could save them !!

Pecan ~
Pecan is one of the triplet greybies. Her big sister is Cashew and her little sister is Peanut. When they were younger, I could never tell them apart, so I put different colored collars on them. Now that they are much older, Cashew is the largest of the three, but Pecan & Peanut are identical.

Have a wonderful day my furiends.

Geeze.....
I'm sorry.... but it never ceases to amaze me at how many posts and pages I see that promote FALSE information or sheer lack of education concerning felines.
1) Milk is NOT good for cats. Most kits older than kiddenhood are lactose intolerant.
2) Black cats are NOT bad luck. There is no such thing... only ignorance and folklore.
3) Cats that p*e in odd places are only acting out.... NOT ! Cats that p*e in odd places are usually trying to tell you that they have a health issue like a UTI. So sorry they can't just open their mouths and say my crotch hurts... help me !
4) When I purr, I am happy. NOT ! ( not always ) Purring can be a soothing action to calm a kit in pain or distress. Almost like a shot of vodka or cigarette to humans.

October is BLACK CAT AWARENESS MONTH...... WHY ?
Because of ignorance, and because we as feline lovers want to educate and protect ! Don't allow stupidity to cloud your judgement, and please ignore the myths handed down. Stand up ! Take action ! EDUCATE YOURSELF HUMAN !
