A toast to teamwork and a warm welcome to two new members! 🥂🎉
House of Stuart raised a glass of non-alcoholic fizz to celebrate the success of our recent Pub Social, which raised $3,520.23 for charity (after expenses).

Appreciation certificates recognised the many helping hands that brought the event together - from preparations behind the scenes to making our guests welcome on the night. 💐

We were delighted to welcome Cathy and Louise, who received their DBE pins and officially became members 24 and 25 of our chapter 🥳 Lovely to have you both with us! 🤗

Here’s to friendship, shared achievements and more adventures together! 🇬🇧❤️

Now Summer has drawn to a close, we’re delighted to read about ours in print 📰🗞️.
From World cup football support through social outings together, new member pinnings and UK trips, House of Stuart’s highlights are on pages 36 - 41 in the latest issue of ‘DBE World’.

🇬🇧What a night! 🍸🧠

Our British Pub Social was a sell-out! Wonderful to see old friends and new enjoying themselves 🇬🇧

We’ve raised over $4,000 for charity ! We have a few receipts to count & bills to pay, so the final figure is yet to come 💵💵💵

Thanks to all who organized, staffed or came along to make the evening such a success.

From setting up, through the guided gin tasting and pub quiz - we had plenty of laughs 👍. We hope our photos capture just some of the fun.

Last night at our chapter meeting, we celebrated House of Stuart’s 63rd birthday with a lovely evening of friendship, food and fizz! 🥂🎂
We had the pleasure of pinning our three newest members - Gemma, Donna and Eleanor - and introducing prospective member Louise.

We enjoyed great food, (including chocolate birthday cake!) and were given Stuart tartan ribbons to wear with our DBE pins.

We are looking forward to our upcoming Pub Social event and many more years of fun and friendship ❤️🤍💙

A lovely House of Stuart lunch yesterday at Fat Rosie’s! 🌮🌸

A purely social get-together to enjoy each other’s company.

We missed our members who couldn’t attend and thank all who came! ❤️

👑🐦‍⬛ Meet Michael “Barney” Chandler, His Majesty’s current Ravenmaster at the Tower of London 👑🐦‍⬛

According to legend, if the 6 resident ravens leave the Tower, the kingdom will fall!

There are currently eight Ravens in Barney’s care - Harris, Jubilee, Poppy, Edgar, Georgie, Chaos, Henry and Poe.

Why the extras? Some of Barney’s predecessors had troublesome charges…

🐦‍⬛ Grog deserted his post in 1981 after 21 years of service and was last seen outside an East End pub 🇬🇧

🐦‍⬛ George was dismissed from royal service in 1986 for repeatedly attacking and eating television aerials 🇬🇧

🐦‍⬛ And in 2011, Munin went absent without leave for seven days in Greenwich before being returned to the Tower 🇬🇧

So two extra seems prudent 👑🐦‍⬛

We had a wonderful turnout for our August chapter meeting last night - plenty of good food, conversation and laughter. We were especially delighted to welcome three prospective new members. Even better, by the end of the evening, all three had decided to join us!

During the evening, we admired the beautiful British-themed raffle baskets now being prepared for our upcoming event - thanks to the generous donations of our wonderful members - as well as our door prize basket, all now waiting for some lucky winners! 🇬🇧🎟️
