Women's Equality Day is celebrated on August 26 to commemorate the 1920 adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which prohibits the states and the federal government from denying the right to vote to citizens of the United States on the basis of s*x. Let's commit to overcoming challenges and voting no matter what. No one can silence women's voices!

Make your public comment today for the EEOC to continue collecting workplace data. Must be done by August 24.

Eliminating workforce data won't eliminate workplace discrimination. It will only make discrimination harder to identify, investigate, and address.

For nearly 60 years, workforce demographic data has helped the enforce federal civil rights laws and identify barriers to equal opportunity.

Now, the EEOC has proposed eliminating this critical data collection. AAUW urges the agency to preserve this essential tool for protecting workers and advancing workplace equity.

Submit a public comment by August 24 and tell the EEOC to withdraw this proposal.

Yes! Thank you, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Sojourner Truth. Thank you, Susan B Anthony and Nannie Helen Burroughs. Now it is our turn to stand up for women's rights and VOTE in November for people who will actually represent the people, their constituents.

I'm taking a moment to breathe freedom, equality, liberty. 106 years ago today, August 18, Tennessee ratified the 19th Amendment, and women became entitled to the vote. Our voices- our votes - finally could be heard.
In these harsh times, I remember the women whose hard work gave us this precious gift. Thank you, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Sojourner Truth. Thank you, Susan B Anthony and Nannie Helen Burroughs. I value your gift most highly and will do my best to make sure all Americans have access to it.

CareerOneStop is a website funded by the U.S. Department of Labor. It lists hundreds of scholarships for women, racial and ethnic groups, LGBTQ+ people, and people with disabilities. Most of these scholarships are funded by private organizations. Scholarship seekers can narrow their searches in the website’s database to limit results to these types of scholarships. The website represents a contradiction to the president’s crusade to end diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development currently operates the website for the Labor Department. The Trump administration will soon be ending its affiliation with Minnesota in order to administer and updated the website in-house.
