AAUW Naperville - IL Area AAUW Naperville Area (IL) is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit affiliate of the American Association of University Women (aauw.org)

Our mission is bold – to advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy. Member activities include: public policy issues advocacy, producing community programs related to AAUW's mission, and fundraising (used booksale, social bridge) to support scholarships for women and national and state efforts to effect change. Early voting has started! LWVN is partnering with AAUW and Indivisible Naperville for a fun family event to encourage people to vote early. Join us, and together we can "Rock the Early Vote."

When: Saturday, October 17, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Where: Washington Street Bridge at Aurora Avenue

AAUW advocates for a safe environment for learning or working. Every survivor of violence against women deserves to be heard and supported.

Every student deserves to feel safe on campus. Every survivor deserves to be heard and supported.

Recent headlines are putting a spotlight on how schools respond to sexual violence. For every story in the news, many more never make it there.

Schools have a duty to take reports seriously and to help survivors stay in school. You don't have to file a formal complaint or go to the police to ask for help. Reporting should never cause more harm.

Learn social bridge with AAUW Naperville Area and the Naperville Park District. Social Bridge for Beginners lessons start Oct. 15 and run six weeks: 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, and 11/19, from noon to 3 PM. Lessons are free but you MUST register with the Park District. Our own Jody Bonneau is teaching. Jody also leads our social bridge group - our oldest fundraiser - open to AAUW and the community.
