These exemptions can make a real difference, but they are not automatic—you must file on time each year to receive them.

Keep fire hydrants clear by maintaining a 3-foot (36-inch) radius of open space around them to ensure easy access for firefighters, as mandated by fire safety regulations. Remove snow, ice, vegetation, and debris promptly. Do not park within 15 feet of a hydrant, and shovel a clear path from the street.

❄️ Sub-Zero Wind Chills Expected Tonight ❄️

Another surge of Arctic air will move into the region this evening, leading to dangerously cold conditions overnight and into Wednesday morning. Sub-zero wind chills are expected across much of the area.

Key Messages:
• Wind chill values as low as -5° to -8° are expected late tonight through Wednesday morning in the advisory area.
• A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect from Midnight until 10:00 AM Wednesday.
• The coldest wind chills are expected between 3:00 AM and 8:00 AM Wednesday.
• Wind chills across the region will range from +2° to -9°, with a large portion of the area experiencing sub-zero conditions early Wednesday morning.

⚠️ Take precautions to protect yourself, pets, and property from the extreme cold.

Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

As a community, we pause together to remember the six million Jewish lives lost in the Holocaust, along with the millions of others targeted by hatred and violence. We hold space for the survivors, the families, and the generations who carry these stories forward.

Remembrance is something we do together — by listening, learning, and standing up for one another. It’s in how we choose empathy over silence, unity over division, and humanity over hate.

May we honor the past by caring for each other in the present and protecting the dignity of all people in the future.
