Watercolor Wednesdays Art Class:

In this watercolor class we will practice helpful techniques to learn watercolor control, but let’s face it…where water shall go, we go with the flow. Watercolor is unpredictable at times which makes it that much more magical and unique. We will look at accidental blobs and splatters as opportunities for unique additions to our art pieces. A thoughtful focused project will be introduced in each class, however it is highly encouraged to go with the flow because that is truly where the character of your piece becomes one of a kind. Let’s have fun creating a variety of watercolor pieces while embracing creativity, patience and the natural magic that occurs when colors collide.

Teacher Appreciation Week, September 19th–26th.

Teachers get in free; public, private, charter, and homeschool. Bring your school ID or badge to the booth; homeschool parents, your co-op paperwork, Homeschool Idaho card, or a curriculum receipt works. (NOT VALID FOR FIELD TRIPS)

Family and guests pay regular admission, ages 3 and under are always free as usual.

Come walk our straw maze, pick a pumpkin, and let somebody else do the wrangling for once.

In this sketching class we will focus our attention on the abundant beauty that nature provides, but is often times overlooked. The art form of line strokes can be both intricate and simplistic; we will play with both concepts. In class we will zoom in using magnifiers and a microscope to examine and truly appreciate the geometrical forms, repeated patterns, natural shading and texture that nature expresses so perfectly. Each time we come to class and create a sketch, we will also walk away learning exciting facts about that object. Come “line up” and join my sketching class where we learn how simple lines, connecting and disconnecting, allow us to explore the details of nature differently. Class for ages 9-14
Beginning level.
Creative, nature explorative style.
