Today we remember the Battle of Bunker Hill, fought on June 17, 1775—one of the earliest and most defining engagements of the American Revolution. Though the Patriots ultimately yielded the ground, their courage proved that a citizen army could stand against one of the world’s strongest military forces.
May we honor their bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering pursuit of liberty.

This morning chapter members gathered at Lakeview Park in Nampa to participate in the Junior Membership 5k Walk.

✉️ Inspired by Abigail Adams' call to "remember the ladies," the NSDAR Junior Membership Virtual 5k continues its six-year tradition of highlighting women's contributions to the American Revolution.

🩷 This year, we honor Nancy Ward (Nanye'hi), a Cherokee “Beloved Woman” and tireless advocate for peace and diplomacy between the Cherokee Nation and American Colonists.

About the Helen Pouch Memorial Fund

Authorized in 1938, The Helen Pouch Memorial Fund (HPMF) supports projects selected by the Junior Membership Committee with approval of the NSDAR Executive Committee. These projects include annual support of DAR Schools, the National Junior Committee Project, and the Junior Membership Classroom Grants Program. Contributions through fundraisers such as this 5k help fulfill those commitments.

Once again Ee-dah-how Chapter NSDAR is sponsoring the annual wreath laying event.

On December 19, 2026 at 10:00 am. Ee-dah-how will be helping Kohlerlawn Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.

Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.
