Our community has already shown incredible support, and we are grateful. To make sure no veteran is forgotten at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, we still need 713 more wreaths. Every wreath represents a life, a story, and a sacrifice.

Wreaths are $17, with a $5 credit applied toward additional wreaths. Please consider sponsoring one — and inviting a friend to join you.

Wreaths Across America ("WAA") coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies every December to "Remember, Honor, and Teach" about the sacrifices made by our veterans and their families. Please check out this page to learn how you can help by sponsoring Veterans Remembrance Wreaths or by joining us on Decembe...

Christopher Columbus Day invites us to reflect on the spirit of exploration that shaped the early chapters of our nation’s story. Columbus’s 1492 voyage opened the door to a new era of global connection, courage, and discovery.

Today, we honor the enduring pursuit of knowledge, exploration, and the resilience that continues to define the American character.

Today we celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day and honor the Native nations whose homelands include what we now call Idaho.

Their traditions, wisdom, and care for the land continue to guide and enrich our communities.

May we reflect with gratitude and walk forward with respect.

Every year we join hundreds of chapters through out DAR serving in various ways. This year, we chose to once again clean up our two mile stretch of highway in our community. This is just one of the amazing things we do as a society.

We had numerous meaningful occasions to celebrate during October's meeting. Our State Regent’s official visit provided an update on her ongoing projects, and we took this opportunity to honor members who have dedicated service to society for between 2 and 35 years. Additionally, we celebrated Carol Murphy for her outstanding leadership in our recycling program, welcomed new members into the organization, and marked the birthday of Lady Liberty 🗽.

On Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day, we pause to honor the families whose loved ones gave their lives in service to the United States. Their sacrifice strengthens the very foundation of our nation. May we always remember, always honor, and always uphold their legacy.

Each year, partnering with the City of Nampa, Idaho – Municipal Government reminds us how meaningful community collaboration can be. We are grateful for your ongoing support and the shared commitment to serving Nampa.

It's Constitution Week! For almost 70 years, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) have been celebrating the United States Constitution during the week of September 17-23. This commemoration is to honor the history and importance of our Constitution and to raise awareness of the continued relevance of the Constitution today.

Yesterday, our local chapter of DAR, the Ee-dah-how Chapter, NSDAR, accepted the proclamation issued by Mayor Bruner to announce Constitution Week in Nampa. Those present at our city council meeting also rang bells, similar to the church bells of Philadelphia that rang out when the U.S. Constitution was first signed at 4 p.m. on September 17, 1787.

You can find more information about Constitution Week on DAR's website: https://www.dar.org/national.../education/constitution-week
