Called to Care Brantley

Called to Care Brantley Jesus. He is and always will be the motivation behind the work of Called to Care. We are no longer orphans.

It is not about how we can rescue these orphans, it’s about how Jesus rescued us. We are children of God, and we are loved by the heavenly Father. When we serve these children, God’s Word declares that we are, in turn, serving Him. However, when we fail to do this, we are rejecting Him. We all serve in three unique roles as part of the Great Commission: the one who sends, the one who goes, or the

one who disobeys. We invite you to pray about how you will allow God to use you for His Kingdom and Glory in partnership with Called to Care.

Meet the A'Layah ✨

She had BIG fun at the Braves Back to School event! She and her buddy took pics, made crafts, and watched the full baseball game!

A'Layah loves kickball and getting her nails done. 💅🏾 She's looking for an adoptive family to help her transition into adulthood. 🫂

Children entering foster care can carry a heavy suitcase of grief. Today, on National Grief Day, we acknowledge the profound situation and losses these brave children experience. 💔

Foster care always begins with a loss. Children grieve the separation from their birth parents, siblings, schools, and everything familiar. This grief doesn't always look like tears—it can show up as anger, confusion, or complete silence.

We believe looking after these children means creating a safe space for their sorrow. Foster and kinship families have to sit with them in their pain, validate their feelings, and remind them that they do not have to carry this heavy burden alone. 🫂

How you can help a grieving child today:

🤍 Be patient: Give foster families the grace and time they need to navigate tough emotional days.
🧸 Provide comfort: Support our mission to provide trauma-informed resources, Bibles, and comfort items for children in transition.
🫂Be their community: Find ways that you can support these families.
🙏 Pray for healing: Ask for peace, comfort, and emotional healing for foster youth and the families supporting them.

Grief takes time, but a supportive village makes all the difference. By reaching out to us, you have the opportunity to learn how you can rally around these families and children during these difficult times. 🥰

Our Brantley county village is ahhhhh-mazing! God is so good.

Last week, we stopped into Nahunta Nutrition to talk about our upcoming gift card raffle (& get us a yummy drink!)

I simply mentioned a need that I was praying over, and within seconds Katie was willing to step up & fulfill it. I can't express how GRATEFUL we are to have such an awesome community partner like the Nahunta Nutrition family!

Thanks to their generosity, we were able to drop-off a brand new convection microwave for the case workers that tirelessly work for our community.

THANK YOU for being such a bright light!

July was a BUSY month in Brantley! And we couldn't have done it without our volunteers and the awesome crew in Brantley.

We were able to serve 127 children including providing a shopping day at our Resource Center where the kids got to shop for brand new school digs to start their new school year.

Did you know: Foster families are required to follow stringent guidelines when children are placed in their homes. These guidelines are meant to ensure the child is being welcomed into a safe and loving environment. Many times, the calls are quick & offer less than ideal amount of time to prepare and plan.

That's where Called to Care Brantley comes in. We work to fill these needs as fast as we can so the foster families have one less thing to worry about!

A new bed can mean safety and security for a child in foster care. 🛏️

😴Having our own warm bed to sleep in is something many of us may take for granted. For a child in foster care, it's what they look forward to more than many people can understand. In the last year, our entire ministry has served 2,463 children, and of those, 1,052 needed beds. 👧🏽🧒🏻

💲Beds are our the largest financial need of our ministry. When a child enters foster care, our initial serving of each child is to make sure they get a bed, along with mattresses, mattress protector, new bedding and a new pillow. Costs for each entire set of those things are as follows:

🛏️Crib set: $180
🛏️Twin set: $235
🛏️Bunk set: $430

🗣️We want to ask if you would consider becoming a financial partner with our ministry to help us provide this very basic need to every child in foster care that we will serve. You can commit to ONE bed, mattress, mattress protector, bedding set, or pillow.....or as many as you are able each month!

🛏️Bed: $95-$120
🛏️Mattress: $85
🛏️Mattress protector: $10
🛏️Bedding: $40-$50
🛏️Pillow: $7

🫱🏼‍🫲🏾You can become a monthly partner through our donor link below OR by sending a check each onmonth to our address with "beds/bedding" in the memo line. ⏬
