We continued a family tradition that’s been part of our lives for 22 years, spending time at Ryan House and Project COPE and delivering Gifts of Hope.
Every Christmas Eve, we visit Ryan House in Lynn and Project COPE to support the men and women in recovery — a tradition that began after, Colin, passed away.
This year felt different, as Brenda and Bob, Colin’s parents, couldn’t be with us while they recover from illness. We carried them with us in spirit. We are motivated by the tradition together with love, and purpose.
Our story is one of two paths: Bob who chose sobriety and has been for 38 years.
Colin on the other hand struggled with addiction and was laid to rest on Christmas Eve 23 years ago. From that loss grew compassion, resilience, and hope.
We also visited Project COPE, honoring the memory of Hayley’s mom (Tara) and supporting the women walking their own recovery journeys.
This tradition exists because of love — for those we’ve lost, for those still fighting, and for the belief that recovery is possible.
To the men and women at Ryan House and Project COPE: you are seen, you matter, and you are supported. 💙
