🌪️ Guide #3 of the Preparathon is here: Tornadoes & Severe Storms
Here's a number worth sitting with:
After the December 2023 tornadoes in Nashville, 861 properties were affected. 45 were destroyed. Local, state, and federal disaster declarations were issued, in one of the country's strongest leisure markets, with nearly 17 million visitors a year.
That is not a fringe market. That is a preview.
Tornado warnings don't wait for you to build a plan. They don't wait for you to figure out which room at which property is the safest shelter, or whether your guests saw the alert, or whether your owner heard about the storm from you or from the news.
Our Tornadoes & Severe Storms Preparedness Guide covers what vacation rental and STR property managers specifically need to know:
✅ How to map shelter locations at every property before storm season
✅ The difference between a Watch and a Warning and exactly what to do at each
✅ Pre-written guest communication templates ready to send via your PMS within minutes
✅ Owner notification protocols that belong in your management agreement
✅ Property assessment steps before guests re-occupy after an event
✅ Business interruption insurance claims and connect staff with FEMA resources
This is guide #3 in our Preparathon series, a free resource library built specifically for hospitality operators. Not generic emergency advice. STR and vacation rental, front to back.
