6:30pm Thursday September 11, PATRIOT DAY. Post 353 will have a short commemorative service at Veterans Plaza, Wild horse Park then move to the Active Adults Center in the north end of the Town Center for our regularly scheduled General Membership Meeting at 7pm. Be there, bring a friend.

The 2025 Bivouac and National Cavalry Competition will be held at historic Fort Reno, OK, headquarters for the U.S. Cavalry Association, from Wednesday to Saturday, September 24th – 27th. We look forward to seeing all members and competitors for this annual gathering.

THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR FAMILIES TO SEE A TRADITION THAT IS ALMOST LOST TO ALL BUT DEDICATED HISTORIANS AND HOBBYISTS. Horsemanship, Military Maneuvers, Bugle Calls, and more. The Museum will be open and free to visitors the week of the competition. Horse Barns will be open to visitors. The Fort Reno Cemetery is adjacent and serves as a place of honor for WWII POWS.

The US Army has deactivated 5 ceremonial horse units this year. Don't miss this history before it fades away.

Competition Events:
Wednesday: Military Horsemanship and Major Howze Competition.
Thursday: Combat Horsemanship and Mounted Saber.
Friday: William Steinkraus Military Field Jumping and Paul Scholtz Mounted Pistol Competition.
Saturday: Unit demonstrations, Bolté Cup Competition, Polo Match and Pass in Review.
