Please help us congratulate Janice R. on graduating from the Muskegon County Recovery Court Program!

When the Recovery Court staff reflected on Janice and her journey on Monday, one theme came through loud and clear: how contagious her joy is as a sober person.

Janice has faced tough moments throughout her journey, but she continued to persevere. She remained open to listening to and trying suggestions from professionals and peers, allowing herself to grow into the person she is today.

During her time in the program, Janice worked toward repairing relationships with her family, secured employment, learned to operate a backpack leaf blower , improved her credit score, purchased a car, and, most importantly she has built a life that she genuinely enjoys living in recovery.

Before her discharge, Janice shared with the team that she knows she isn't done yet. She has already set new goals for herself, including eventually becoming a homeowner and having a home she can customize and make truly her own.

The Recovery Court Team is incredibly proud of Janice and all that she has accomplished. We are excited to watch where this next chapter takes her and look forward to hearing about all the accomplishments still to come!

Congratulations, Janice! We are so proud of you and all the hard work you've put into creating a life you love in recovery!

Muskegon County Recovery Court is proud to announce the graduation of Amanda Ward.

Amanda has made tremendous progress throughout her journey in Recovery Court. Through her dedication, perseverance, and willingness to make positive changes, she has overcome obstacles and worked hard to build a healthier and more stable future. Her commitment to recovery is truly inspiring, and she should be incredibly proud of how far she has come.

Judge Kacel was away from the courtroom today but made it a point to zoom in for this special occasion. Amanda’s case manager, Courtney, presented her with her certificate of completion.
