We have an exciting announcement for Soup & Songs! Two generous donors have come together for a $10,000 matching gift, giving our community an incredible opportunity to double its impact.

It’s even harder when you have a felony, limited work history, or no references.

Every day, Jen helps the men and women at Fresh Coast navigate the employment process. She works with **felony-friendly and recovery-friendly employers** to help people find a job that is a great fit—and a place where they can succeed.

Because a job is about more than a paycheck.

It can mean stability.
Confidence.
Independence.
And another important step toward a fresh start. ❤️

He walked through our doors and said, “My life is falling apart.”

Candy offered him a cup of coffee, a seat, and a listening ear.

He said he knew he needed to go to rehab.

So Candy and Anje sat with him, listened, and helped him get connected with an assessment and a plan for treatment. They also encouraged him to apply for sober housing as a next step when he completes treatment.

We don't know what tomorrow will look like for him.

But today, he walked through a door.

He was heard.

He was welcomed.

And he left with a plan and people who were willing to walk alongside him.

You never know who is going to walk through our doors.

Sometimes they need resources. Sometimes they need a plan. Sometimes they just need someone to sit down, offer them a cup of coffee, and listen.

What we do know is this:

Everyone deserves to be welcomed without judgment. Everyone deserves to be heard. Everyone deserves the opportunity for a fresh start.

And sometimes, a fresh start begins with something as simple as a cup of coffee and someone willing to listen. ☕️❤️
