⚽ Soccer Field Access Update – Today Only

Please note that the main gate entrance to the soccer fields will be closed today due to softball games taking place throughout the day.

Parents and players should plan to access the soccer fields from Wolf Lake Road using the side access gate shown on the attached map. Parking in the school lots may be busier than usual, so parking along Wolf Lake Road and walking in through the side gate may be the easiest option.

Please allow a few extra minutes for arrival and share this information with anyone bringing your player to practices or games today.

Thank you for your patience and flexibility!

Hello friends, family, parents and coaches alike!

Tomorrow is THE ONLY DAY fundraising orders need to/can be picked up. NO HOLDS, simply because we do not have the cold space to safely store them. Clubhouse will be open 5:30-7:30pm. Please do not come BEFORE this time, as I will need time to sort, arrange, and be ready for fast and easy service to you! Trying to hand out before it is all set can cause confusion and avoidable mistakes on our end. Thank you to each and EVERY player that got out there and did the work to support our club, without your help with these fundraisers we would not be able to maintain the great pricing we offer. Everyone deserves to play, and we intend to keep it that way! 🙂 If you have any questions- feel free to reach out!

As games kick off this morning, we want to send a friendly reminder about sideline expectations and the role we all play in creating a positive environment for our athletes. ⚽💙

Parents, guardians, coaches, and spectators are a huge part of the game-day experience. We encourage loud cheering, positive encouragement, and supporting ALL players as they learn and grow.

Please remember:

🔹 Respect referees and their decisions — many refs are learning and growing too, and referee abuse will not be tolerated.
🔹 Cheer positively and avoid coaching players from the sidelines.
🔹 Show respect to players, coaches, parents, and spectators from both teams.
🔹 Follow the 48-hour rule before addressing concerns after a game.
🔹 Help us uphold the player and parent code of conduct at all times.
🔹 Bullying, threatening behavior, profanity, or unsportsmanlike conduct at any OSC event will not be tolerated.

Oakridge Soccer Club is built by volunteers — our coaches, board members, and team helpers are parents and community members donating their time because they care deeply about these kids and this club. Please continue showing them kindness and respect throughout the season.

Failure to follow the code of conduct may result in removal from games/events, disciplinary action, or suspension from attending club activities.

At the end of the day, we are ALL here for the kids. Let’s work together to create a fun, safe, encouraging, and positive soccer experience for everyone this season. 💙⚽

Our friendly reminder that Frandale order forms are due by tomorrow 🙂 They can be passed to your coach today, or brought to the concessions building, or myself (Elyssa Boone) during my practice time of 6-8pm. (Don’t fret about bringing them to me at a “busy” practice- I’m happy to take them directly 😊)

Fundraising is a LARGE part of how OSC is able to maintain the lowest prices in the area so that ALL soccer loving kids get to play! That means it is up to all of us to come together and make these fundraisers a success! Get your players out for this last day and let’s see what this amazing soccer club can really do when we work together! ⚽️

Oakridge Soccer Club is, and always has been, a volunteer-run organization. Every season, the club continues because of parents, family members, coaches, and community members who are willing to step up and help make soccer possible for the kids in our community.

Over the last several seasons, we have repeatedly asked for parent volunteers, and unfortunately, very few people have been willing or able to step into those roles. We completely understand that everyone has busy lives, work schedules, and family commitments — but the reality is that without volunteers, there is no club.

There are many moving parts behind the scenes that keep things running each season. Concessions, site directors, field prep and maintenance, scheduling, communication, registration support, and board operations all require people willing to give their time.

At this point, there are several things that may no longer be possible if we do not receive more volunteer support:
-The concession stand cannot operate without volunteers to run it — and concessions are a major source of funding that helps keep costs affordable for our families.
-We must have site directors available on game days.
-We need continued help with general operations and maintenance around the club.
-Most importantly, we currently have multiple open board positions that need to be filled:

🔹Secretary

🔹Fields & Maintenance

🔹Concessions

🔹PR/Public Relations Representative

Without an active board, the club cannot continue to function.

If you care about keeping affordable youth soccer available for the children in our community, we truly need your help now. Whether you can volunteer occasionally, take on a small role, or step into a board position, every bit of support matters more than you know.

This club belongs to the community, and it will take the community coming together to keep it moving forward. Please reach out if you are willing to help.
