Two-Time NHRA Funny Car Champion Cruz Pedregon to Showcase Wolfhounds Legacy Wisconsin at the 2026 NHRA Brainerd Nationals

BROWNSBURG, Indiana. (August 21st 2026) – Cruz Pedregon Racing is proud to showcase Wolfhounds Legacy - Wisconsin during the 2026 NHRA Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway, August 20–23rd. The partnership will shine a spotlight on the organization's mission of rescuing dogs from high-risk shelters and training them as service dogs for military veterans and first responders.

Wolfhounds Legacy - Wisconsin is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to "saving two lives at a time" by pairing rescued dogs with those who have sacrificed in service to their communities and country. Since 2016, the organization has placed more than 300 service dogs with veterans and first responders at no cost to the recipients.

"We're honored to have Wolfhounds Legacy - Wisconsin represented on our Nitro Funny Car this weekend," said Cruz Pedregon, two-time NHRA Funny Car World Champion. "The work they do goes far beyond rescuing dogs, they're changing lives for veterans and first responders who have given so much in service to others. Our team is proud to help share their story with the incredible NHRA fanbase, and we hope this partnership brings greater awareness and support to an organization making a real difference every day."

As one of the final races before the NHRA Countdown to the Championship begins, the Brainerd Nationals provide a national stage for Wolfhounds Legacy Wisconsin’s message. Thousands of fans attending the event and millions watching NHRA coverage throughout the weekend will have the opportunity to learn more about the nonprofit's life-changing mission.

"We are deeply honored that Cruz Pedregon has chosen to represent Wolfhounds Legacy Wisconsin on his race car," said a Wolfhounds Legacy Wisconsin representative. "Our mission is simple and powerful: save two lives at a time so no hero walks alone. Every dog we rescue and every veteran or first responder we serve represents a second chance. Having Cruz carry that message on one of the fastest race cars in the world is an incredible privilege and a chance to reach new supporters who share our commitment to those who served."

Wolfhounds Legacy - Wisconsin Chapter, based in the Muskego/Milwaukee area, continues the organization's work of pairing rescue dogs with veterans and first responders through comprehensive training programs focused on service tasks and public access skills. Every dog placement is provided free of charge through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners.
