Additional ways to support the families affected by Monday's events.

In response to the heartbreaking events of June 1st, a fund has been established to support the families directly affected by this loss.

Charitable donations to the fund will help address immediate and ongoing family needs, including memorial-related expenses, through the coordination of Saints Mary and Mathias Church.

Community members who wish to show support may do so through the giving options listed below. We continue to hold these families and all who are grieving in our hearts.

Sharing another important local resource. 🫶

It has taken time to find the words to share after the heartbreaking tragedy that shook our community earlier this week.

Over the past two days, many of us have been trying to process an unimaginable loss. As the shock begins to settle, the grief remains. Our hearts continue to ache for the lives lost, for the families and loved ones left behind, and for everyone whose sense of safety and peace has been impacted.

In times like these, there are no perfect words. There is only the importance of coming together with compassion, kindness, and care for one another. As a community, we mourn together, support one another, and hold space for the many emotions that accompany such a devastating event.

Please remember to give yourself and others grace. Grief looks different for everyone. Some may feel sadness, anger, confusion, fear, or numbness. There is no right or wrong way to navigate a tragedy, and healing does not follow a timeline.

We also want to recognize and thank the first responders, medical personnel, advocates, and community members who have stepped forward to help during this difficult time. Their compassion and dedication have been a source of strength for so many.

To every individual, family, and responder affected, please know that you are not alone. Our thoughts remain with you today and in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

For those experiencing domestic violence or feeling unsafe at home, support is available. Our shelter provides a safe, confidential, undisclosed location for women and their children, with trained staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to offer advocacy, resources, and support.

We provide a warm, home-like environment with private bedrooms, shared living spaces, and safe areas for children. Food, clothing, hygiene items, and other essentials are available immediately, and pet fostering arrangements can be made so that no family member is left behind.

You do not have to face this alone. Whenever you are ready, we are here.
