The energy was electric at the Riverside County Innovation Month Pitch Finale! 🔥

We witnessed an unforgettable evening of groundbreaking ideas, courageous pitches, and visionary entrepreneurship as top innovators from across the county competed for the grand prize. Ten finalists each took the stage with passion and purpose, sharing solutions that have the potential to shape the future of our region—and beyond.

These entrepreneurs courageously showcased their ventures and impressed the judges with their creativity, resilience, and drive. Their work truly embodies the spirit of innovation that Riverside County is proud to support.

And the moment you’ve all been waiting for.. a huge congratulations to our top 3:
3rd place: Carmine Minerals
2nd place: Super Foam
And the 1st place winner is GLID !!

In a very exciting turn of events, it was announced at the event that Martin Kleckner and Rosibel Ochoa with UCR and the Inland SoCal Accelerate Hub would contribute an ADDITIONAL $25k to each of the 1st and 2nd place winners. Wow!

We also extend our sincere thanks to our judges, agency partners, sponsors, and attendees for making this event such a resounding success. Your continued commitment to growing our startup ecosystem is what fuels progress and empowers local talent.

We are thrilled to share that the MIC is currently undergoing significant enhancements, including the addition of a wet lab, dry lab, and refreshed meeting and collaboration spaces. These improvements will further strengthen our ability to host exceptional events and support groundbreaking entrepreneurs and startups who are ready to make a meaningful impact.

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting an Evening of Innovation! This special event was filled with inspired conversations and cutting-edge presentations from both local and international bio-tech and health-tech startups from the Murrieta Innovation Center. The energy was electric as entrepreneurs showcased their groundbreaking ideas and cutting-edge technologies, driving the future of healthcare and biotechnology.

Riverside County Innovation Month Fast Pitch Finale was a success!

Congrats to all who competed!
HexHomes Sustainable Developments, took first place and the grand prize of $12,000! The company focuses on creating and building homes that are both affordable and environmentally friendly.

Sisu VR claimed second place with a $5,000 prize. This business prioritizes a people-first policy while utilizing Virtual Reality to train employees on handling workplace emergencies and misconduct.

Oili took third place with a $3,000 prize. With this app, users can easily book oil changes from anywhere in CA, choosing between their workplace or home for the service.

Unlock Your Potential with Leadership Southwest Riverside County!

Developed in partnership with Impact Riverside County and Mt. San Jacinto College Contract and Community Education, Leadership Southwest Riverside County is an 11 month comprehensive leadership program aimed at empowering individuals to drive positive change within their communities. A program designed to provide participants with a deep understanding of the history, dynamics, and challenges facing Southwest Riverside County that empowers individuals with the requisite professional development to catalyze meaningful change within the region.

The program runs from August 16, 2024 to June 20, 2025 on one Friday per month from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

The Riverside County Innovation Month Fast Pitch Finale is set to take center stage on April 27, 11:30am-1:30pm at UCR ARTS in downtown Riverside. Winners from the regional fast pitch events will converge in a "Shark Tank" style competition that will be presented in front of a panel of judges who are business owners, elected officials, and venture capitalists. Special guest speaker Eric Eide, Managing Director, Alliance for SoCal Innovation, will discuss opportunities for startups and regional innovation advancement.
