The library is seeking donations of 5-gallon buckets! If you happen to have any, or know of a source that might donate some, please let us know!

Seeking donations of 5-gallon buckets for library programming!

With mosquito season peaking again in late summer, we'd like to do something about it here in Murphysboro by organizing a class on making mosquito buckets to help with the problem, but we only have a handful of buckets on hand!

If you have spare 5-gallon buckets, or might know a local business (restaurants, etc.) that might have more than they need, we'd love to take them off your hand so we can help to distribute mosquito buckets around town!

Buckets can be dropped off at the library during our normal business hours. If you know a business that might have an excess, please let us know and we can reach out!

We have found this is a great box for big heavy books! We would love to have donations of clean, empty ones. A few could be dropped off at the library, if you have a bunch, let us know and we will make arrangements for them.

We have mystery, novels, romance, inspirational fiction, westerns, cookbooks, nature/gardening, kid's books, some really nice art, craft, and collectible books! History, and local interest. Fiction, non-fiction, paperback and hardback.
