Unplugged Conversations - Recap 2/18/23
On Saturday, oh how we enjoyed Jesus!
Thanks to those that were able to join us for another rich time of unplugging and talking about life and Jesus. Thank you to first-time attendees Lolly and Eden – your spirit and sisterly presence was a blessing! We look forward to seeing you again.
Our conversation this week was about Purpose. We understood that there are many purposes God may invest in His people. God has made us multitalented however the most important focus is to ensure that whatever it is that we do it must glorify God because we are His workmanship. We need God to help us embrace whatever our current state and to continue to give us clarity regarding what the next steps will be.
We travelled back to our childhood and made different shapes from Playdough. Why? Because if we could remain humble and pliable by God; He can continue to shape and mold us. God, help us to remain always willing and ready for your potter's wheel! Help us not to grow ridged in this season.
Stay tuned for an upcoming series on Prayer! See you in a few weeks.
Discussion verses:
Ephesians 2:1-10
2 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins 2 in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the disobedient. 3 We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us, 5 made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace! 6 He also raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavens in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might display the immeasurable riches of his grace through his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift—9 not from works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.
Mark 10:45
45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”,
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
John 20: 21 Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, I also send you.” 22 After saying this, he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
