Every single morning at the Boys and Girls Club, our team of CYIA summer missionaries quietly steps into the room and begins arranging the rows. ๐Ÿช‘โœจ

Right now, these chairs are completely emptyโ€”but in just a little while, they will be filled with nearly 50 precious children ready to hear about God's incredible power to "turn around" lives.

๐—ง๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ธ ๐˜€๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฟ. ๐Ÿ’ก

This room isn't a church building or cathedral, but it has become a sacred space. For some of the children filling these seats, this circle of chairs may be the only "church" they experience this week, this month, or even this year. Transformation happens right here, one individual heart at a time, as they discover they are deeply loved and purposefully created by God.

Scripture memory is such a vital part of what we do. When a child hides God's Word in their heart, they are carrying a lifelong compass of truth, comfort, and guidance. If thereโ€™s one thing kids love, itโ€™s a good game! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰

In both our summer 5-Day Clubs and our school-year Good News Clubs, we love to lean into that energy. As you can see in today's photo, we use interactive games to help children completely memorize Scripture without it ever feeling like a chore.

Whether it's a mystery guessing game or an exciting physical activity to emphasize the next word, turning a Bible verse into play makes a huge difference. The words stop being just text on a page and start sinking deep into their minds and hearts. Long after the games are packed away, these truths stay with them for life. ๐Ÿ“–โœจ

Behind-the-scenes confession: It is nearly impossible to get a normal, flattering photo of our CYIA summer missionaries today. Why? Because the Bible lesson is all about Mephibosheth! ๐Ÿ“ธ Try teaching that name to a group of kids without making some pretty hilarious facial expressions for the camera.

The photos on our camera roll might be 90% tongue-twister bloopers right now, but we love watching our teens lean into the fun to share this beautiful story of kindness and grace. It's a powerful reminder that King Jesus invites us into His family, covers our brokenness, and gives us a permanent place at His table. ๐Ÿ‘‘โค๏ธ

Every single club day, our CEF summer missionaries gather over lunch to rest, share stories, and simply enjoy being together. Today, that fellowship turned into a moment of praise as the team rejoiced together over 5 children who put their trust in God this morning!

This sweet bond reflects Proverbs 27:9: "Oil and perfume make the heart glad, and the sweetness of a friend comes from his earnest counsel." It's in these moments of listening to, advising, and lifting each other up that keeps our team united as they serve Middle Tennessee together. ๐Ÿ™Œโค๏ธ

Our word for Week 2 of summer clubs is FLEXIBILITY. ๐Ÿš€

Ministry doesn't always happen the way we planโ€”sometimes reaching little hearts means adjusting to the open doors right in front of us. This week, our teams are modifying the traditional 5-day format into creative schedules to fit the unique availability of our local community hosts.

๐—ง๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ธ ๐˜€๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฟ. ๐Ÿ’ก

We don't need a perfect, textbook schedule to see God move. When we think smaller, we realize that a sudden change in plans is just another divine opportunity to focus on the individual child right in front of us. While the formats might change, the powerful message of the Gospel remains exactly the same.

Please pray for our student missionaries this week! Pray for their physical health, high energy, and joyful attitudes as they gracefully pivot and adapt to every environment they walk into. ๐Ÿ™โœจ
