October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗

This month, wear the pink. Wear the pink, green & teal. Celebrate survivors. Stand beside those living with Stage IV. Support those fighting. Remember those we’ve lost. And keep pushing for better treatments, more research, and ultimately a cure.

But as everything turns pink this month, pay attention to where your dollars are going.

A pink ribbon doesn’t automatically mean your purchase supports breast cancer patients or research. Ask questions. Look at the fine print. Find out whether money is actually being donated and how much.

Breast cancer awareness should be more than a marketing campaign.

- Celebrate the survivors.
- Stand with the thrivers.
- Support the fighters.
- Remember those we’ve lost.

And when you spend your money in the name of breast cancer awareness, make it count.

Awareness matters. Action matters more.

If you’re having trouble registering through Facebook, try opening the registration link in your external browser instead of staying in the Facebook app!

Remember, your registration includes EVERYTHING! Your event shirt, food, family activities, and our 1-mile remembrance walk are all included. Once you walk through the doors, there’s nothing else to pay for unless it’s on your heart to give another donation.

Other warning signs can include:
🍋 Thickening area of the breast
🍋 Dimpling of the breast
🍋 Bump on breast
🍋 Sunken ni**le (turning inward)
🍋 Ni**le crusting
🍋 Ni**le discharge (other than breast milk)
🍋 Change in breast size or shape
🍋 Warmth or redness of the breast
🍋 An orange peel-like texture of the skin
🍋 Visible vein that appear suddenly
🍋 A sore on the breast that won’t heal
