May Meeting highlights at Maring-Hunt Library for “Revolutionary Roots: Pollinator Gardens and Herbal Remedies.”

• Special thanks to Sharon Jackson and Jennie Irving for sharing their knowledge and bringing hands-on examples, herbs, and live plants for members to enjoy. 🌿🐝

• Members learned how early Americans used herbs such as bee balm, sage, yarrow, and lavender in daily life while tending gardens that welcomed bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Members also explored how many of these gardening and herbal practices can still be applied in our lives today.

• We also thank Joan Graham Nathan for sharing the Purple Poppy flag, designed by sculptor Susan Bahary, which will be flown at the Veterans Memorial in honor of military and service animals.
