Forward Visions would like to announce our 2025 Phil Dunn Scholarship winners that we were able to present at Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Our winners are Jamey Long (Muncie Central High School), TJ Mason (Muncie Central High School) and Alonna Mitchell (Burris Laboratory School. Each individual received $1,000 to pursue their musical career. Forward Visions would like to thank all our donors and sponsors who made these (3) Youth Music Sccholarships possible.

June 6th is the last day for a Youth in middle or high school to apply for the Phil Dunn Music Scholarship. If you have a Youth with musical talents or want to learn how to play an instrument we encourage parents to have them apply.

This scholarship is for middle and high school students in Muncie and Delaware CountyThis scholarship will pay (3) Youth $1,000 each.

Students are asked to submit a 60 second video through Tik-Tok or YouTube describing you interest in music, what have you done to pursue your musical dream, which instrument do you currently play. Submit video to [email protected]

Forward Visions is currently looking for Youth (Middle and High School) who has an interest to apply for the Phil Dunn Music Scholarships. Details how to apply can be reviewed by using the QR Code on the flyer or using the link.

We will pick (2) winners who will receive $1,000 a piece to go towards music lessons or leasing/purchasing a music instrument.

Forward Visions kicks off our fundraising campaign to raise $2,000 for our Black Music Month Celebration Youth Music Scholarship. This scholarship will be our 5th year to help Youth who have a passion for music. This year we will award (3) students in middle and high school $1,000 each.

That’s why we started the Youth Music Scholarship back in 2020. When our young people and their families were impacted by the COVID pandemic and unable to pay for their remaining music lesion balances or balance to pay off a music instrument, we created the Black Music Month Youth Music Scholarship to close the gap. With many still feeling the economic strain, Forward Visions has rewarded over 15 scholarships to students in Muncie/Delaware County since 2020

Because we are committed to helping a student with their passion for music, no matter their financial situation, we are calling on donors to support this campaign because every young person deserves a space to be supported, creative, and prepared for success as adults.

Your contribution fuels our mission to close the tuition gap, providing students with top-notch music education and opportunities for scholarships and careers in music
