Ball State University’s Voting System Technical Oversight Program (VSTOP) is hosting a public discussion regarding Delaware County’s transition to vote centers.
In May 2026, Delaware County transitioned from traditional precinct-based voting to a vote center model, allowing registered voters to cast their ballot at any vote center location in the county on Election Day.
To better understand voters’ experiences with this transition, VSTOP conducted a Vote Center Satisfaction Survey, collecting more than 500 responses from voters across the county.
VSTOP will present the findings from the May survey at a public discussion on October 5 at 7:00 p.m. at the Muncie Central High School auditorium.
In addition to sharing their findings, the event is intended to encourage greater civic engagement around Delaware County’s election process.
Community members will have an opportunity to learn more about the transition to vote centers, discuss their experiences, ask questions, and learn how they can participate in the second round of the survey this November.
VSTOP hopes to bring together community members from across Delaware County for an informative and productive discussion.
