This is the first of many of the families' stories of "The Forgotten." In this video Rose Burns, Survivor Advocate for ALERT, is interviewing a grandmother raising her two special needs grandchildren.

ALERT still has over 80 homeowners from Western North Carolina who were denied assistance from federal agencies to rebuild or repair their homes that were damaged by TS Helene 14 + months ago. The majority fall into at least one of the following categories: elderly, disabled, special needs children and veterans. They are the "The Forgotten".

๐ŸŒŸ Happy Giving Tuesday! ๐ŸŒŸ

Today, we invite you to join us in making a meaningful impact in the lives of Hurricane Helene survivors in Western North Carolina and East Tennessee. Many are still struggling to recover, and they fit into vulnerable categories such as the elderly, disabled, veterans, and families with special needs children.

Currently, we are working with 80+ homeowners who have been denied assistance from federal agencies and their insurance providers. Your generous donations can help provide them with the vital support they need to cover utilities, vehicle repairs and essential bills which are paid directly to the providers.

โœจ Did you know? โœจ Approximately 85% of your donations goes directly to pay for vehicle repairs, utilities, and other urgent needs, while 10% helps cover our program costs like fuel and emergency supplies and the remaining 5% covers administrative costs. We are an all-volunteer organization.

This Giving Tuesday, letโ€™s come together to uplift our fellow Americans and provide hope to those who need it most. Every contribution makes a difference!

๐Ÿ™ Donate today and help us spread love and support to those affected by Hurricane Helene. Your generosity is truly appreciated!

๐ŸŒŸ **URGENT HELP NEEDED!** ๐ŸŒŸ

We have a Hurricane Helene survivor in desperate need of assistance. A dedicated mom, who has recently been diagnosed with life-threatening health issues, is facing an overwhelming challenge. She and her young child, who also has medical issues, moved to Tennessee after the hurricane.

Their current landlord sold the property, and they must move by December 1st. We are working hard to help them secure a new home, but we need to raise **$1200** for first month's rent/deposit by the deadline. Her significant other is her full-time unpaid care giver. Services are scheduled to begin middle of December, and they will be in a position to be self-sustaining.

This family has been fully vetted by our organization and truly deserves a chance for stability and safety. If you can contribute even a small amount, it will make a BIG difference in their lives.

๐Ÿ’” Letโ€™s come together to support this brave family during this difficult time. Please share widely and donate if you can!

๐Ÿ‘‰ Their new landlord accepts PayPal, so it will be easiest for tax deductible donations to be made to our Charity PayPal account for America's Lifeline Emergency Response Team Foundation or via the QR code below.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity! โค๏ธ
