The Mukilteo Christmas Concert Foundation

He wanted to give back to America, where his family was given great opportunities to cultivate musical talents. Sung Jin Ahn conceived and financially supported this annual Christmas concert as a gift to the Mukilteo community. Ahn, a resident of Mukilteo for 22 years, started the first concert in 1991, this annual concert has become a holiday favorite for many music lovers in the community. Him a

nd his family members continued this concert until his passing in 2002. As directed in his will, the Ahn family formed the Mukilteo Christmas Concert Foundation to support the annual concert and grant scholarships for talented music students and for youth ministries. In 2004 the Mukilteo Christmas Concert Foundation became registered as a non-profit organization to the State. The concert continues to dedicate and honor Rev. Ahn who was a charismatic speaker, educator, poet and an enthusiastic music lover. He founded a childrens mission center and published more than 80 books for youth ministry. Each year the foundation selects a different local charity to raise funds for. In the past the foundation has supported organizations such as Healing the Children, World Vision, Seattle Children's Cancer Society, local food banks and homeless shelters just to name a few. Through this annual community Christmas concert, the legacy of Rev. Sung Jin Ahn lives on as his family members continue to bring joy and comfort to the Mukilteo community through this annual holiday concert.
