Today our honor guard attended the Fallen Firefighter memorial in Sacramento to honor Greg Cooper, our previous Local 1965 union president and brother. Greg passed away from job related cancer shortly after retiring. We are forever grateful for Greg’s dedication to the job, our city, and the countless sacrifices he made serving our local. No sacrifice was bigger than the ultimate one he gave, his life. Rest in Peace, we miss ya Cooper.

Congratulations Jaxon on this outstanding achievement and we wish you all the best as you begin your career in the fire service.

Jaxon is the son of former Local 1965 union president Greg Cooper. Greg passed away earlier this year after a battle with cancer and having served the citizens of Mountain View for 23 years.

An interactive event where you can learn fire safety, see your Mountain View Firefighters demonstrate different technical rescue abilities and the use of our vehicle extrication equipment. Proceeds benefit the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation and our very own non profit, Mountain View Firefighters Random Acts. Tell a neighbor, tell a friend & we will see you next month!
