🌧️ Mother Nature had other plans.

As the Nor’easter rolled into New Jersey, the decision to postpone the second and third legs of Miles4Smiles became clear.

This short look at the weather shows why safety had to come first. We’re confident it was the right decision, and we look forward to completing the rides in October. 💙🚴‍♂️

🚨 MILES4SMILES NJ — IMPORTANT RIDE UPDATE 🚴‍♀️💙

Due to the State of Emergency declared in New Jersey and the severe weather brought by the Nor’easter, the second and third legs of the Miles4Smiles rides have been postponed.

The safety of our riders, volunteers, and everyone on the road has to come first. ❤️

But this ride is NOT cancelled! 🙌
The second and third legs will be completed sometime in October, when conditions are safer and our riders can get back on the road and finish what they started.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Miles4Smiles and our mission to help children and families affected by cancer here in New Jersey.

The miles may be postponed, but the mission continues. 💙

We’re on our way to the start, and our support vans are proudly carrying the names of our Virtual Road Warriors who stepped up to support Miles4Smiles and the 20 families we are riding for.
Seeing these magnets on the vans makes me a little emotional. Every single one represents someone who said, “I want to help.” A person, a family, a business, or a tribute memory - all traveling every mile with our cyclists. ❤️

Today, these incredible cyclists begin their Miles4Smiles journey from High Point to the Cape May Lighthouse - all for 20 families whose children are battling cancer.
They are ready to do their part. Now let's show them some AMAZING support! ❤️

Every additional dollar we raise means more financial relief for these families - less worry about bills, groceries and everyday expenses, and more time and energy to focus on what matters most: their child.

❤️ ONE MORE DAY. ONE FINAL PLEA. ❤️

Tomorrow at midday, our Miles4Smiles riders begin their journey from High Point to the Cape May Lighthouse.

We have raised $29,000, and I am incredibly grateful to every single person who has donated, shared our posts, sponsored a mile, or become a Virtual Road Warrior.

But today, I’m asking one more time for your help.

We are still more than 70% away from our $100,000 goal - and behind that goal are 20 very real families with children fighting cancer.

These parents are watching their children go through chemotherapy, hospital stays, procedures and treatments no child should ever have to endure. At the same time, many are missing work and worrying about how they will pay their mortgage, buy groceries, keep the lights on or simply make it through another month.

They have enough to worry about.

Our hope was to give each of these 20 families $5,000 of financial relief so that, even for a little while, they could focus less on the bills and more on their child.

So if you have been thinking about donating but haven't done it yet, please, PLEASE consider doing it now.

$10. $25. $50. $100. Whatever you can give.

No donation is too small, because when enough people decide that their little bit matters, it can become something extraordinary.
