This Memorial Day, the Mountain Home Symphony honors the brave servicemen and women who have given so much in service to our country. We remember their sacrifice with gratitude and reflect on the freedoms their courage protects.

Join us on Sunday 5/31 at 2:30pm for a special concert celebrating the spirit of America through music. Our program will feature patriotic favorites and stirring works including Armed Forces, the Pride of America, I Hear America Singing, An Americana Songbook, and more — alongside beloved classics from composers such as Copland, Mozart, and Brahms.

We look forward to sharing an afternoon of remembrance, pride, and beautiful music with our community.

Tomorrow’s the day!

We’ve been rehearsing, refining, and getting ready to share a truly special afternoon of music with you. Our program is a beautiful mix — from Irish jigs and tender folk melodies to show-stopping Broadway dances, Spanish flair, and even a Beatles classic. You’ll hear timeless works by Bach, Schubert, and Rimsky-Korsakov, alongside modern favorites like Cumberland Cross, I Believe, and River Songs.

It’s a concert full of joy, emotion, and variety — something for everyone, whether you love classical, folk, pop, or musical theater.

Bach’s Komm, süsser Tod — “Come, Sweet Death.” This deeply moving chorale, arranged for modern orchestra, is simple yet incredibly powerful. Its quiet strength and emotional depth speak across the centuries, reminding us of the comfort that music can bring in even our most contemplative moments. It’s one of the most beautiful things we’ll play all night — and it may just become one of your favorites, too. 🕯️
