A top pediatric brain tumor research charity built by families to support families In August 2023, while on vacation in Florida, our world turned upside down.

Meet Beckham, our sweet and fearless 8-year-old with a huge heart full of determination. He’s a huge WWE Fan, always cheering on his favorite wrestlers and dreaming up his own epic matches. When he’s not watching wrestling, you’ll find him gaming with his friends, diving into Fortnite battles, or listening to his favorite rap songs. by his incredible strength as he faces life’s toughest challenges with so much bravery and courage. Our sweet Beckham woke up paralyzed one morning, unable to move. That terrifying moment led to an emergency hospitalization in Florida, where we received the devastating diagnosis: Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG). Beckham was then transferred to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for treatment, where our battle truly began. Despite the odds, Beckham continues to fight with unimaginable strength and courage. Inspired by his resilience, we knew we had to do more not just for Beckham, but for all children facing this cruel disease. That’s why we are proud to join The Cure Starts Now, a charity dedicated to funding research for a home run cure, a strategy that focuses on curing all cancers by finding a cure for the most aggressive forms, like DMG. By launching The Cure Starts Now: Kentucky – Beckham’s Bloodline Chapter, we are committed to raising awareness, funding vital research, and fighting for a future where no family has to hear the words there’s no cure.

“We refuse to accept that there are no options. Every child deserves hope, and every family deserves the chance to fight with more than just time. Becoming a chapter of The Cure Starts Now is our way of turning heartbreak into action for Beckham, for all children, and for a cure.”

The Cure Starts Now (501c3 Federal Non-Profit) is one of the only cancer foundations dedicated to a “homerun” cure for all cancers, starting first with one of the most deadly and difficult cancers: pediatric brain cancer. Many experts believe that the lessons we learn from fighting pediatric cancer may in fact provide us the critical first step in winning the battle against all forms of cancer, both pediatric and adult.

💜 JUNE 💜

This month should be filled with countdowns to Beckham turning 10.

Instead, our family is facing our very first birthday month without him.

There are no words to describe how much we miss his laugh, his smile, his big personality, and the way he could light up any room he was in. Every day we wish we could hear his voice one more time, give him one more hug, and watch him celebrate another birthday.

In just 24 days, on June 26th, we will gather as a community for Beckham’s Birthday Bash. A day filled with love, laughter, memories, and hope. A day to celebrate the incredible boy who changed so many lives and to continue our mission of helping find the Home Run Cure for cancer.

We would love to see every person who loved Beckham, supported our family, prayed for him, or simply wants to make a difference join us.

Today is International DIPG/DMG Awareness Day.

And if I’m being honest… today feels a little heavy.

Sometimes it’s hard watching everyday posts get hundreds of reactions while posts about pediatric brain cancer awareness, research, and Beckham’s Birthday Bash barely get seen.

I know life is busy, and I also understand how easy it can be to scroll past posts about childhood cancer because it’s something most people can’t even imagine facing. Before Beckham’s diagnosis, we were there too. You never truly believe something like this could happen to your family… until one day, it does..

This isn’t just an “event” to us.
This is our way of celebrating and honoring Beckham.
This is how we fight back.
This is how we keep his name alive and help fund research so other families might have better outcomes one day.

Awareness matters. Shares matter. Conversations matter. Research matters.

Today especially, I’m asking people to pause for just a moment and remember the children and families facing this devastating disease.

And to everyone who continues to support us, thank you. Truly. 💜🎗️
