After years of hard work, careful planning, and incredible community support, we have reached a monumental milestone for Jacob's Ladder Outreach: We officially have a signed contract on our land! 🏡✨

Securing the land is a massive win, but we aren't stopping there. Our next big goal is to pay off the land in full as quickly as possible to avoid costly interest payments and keep our momentum going strong.

This is exactly why Jacob's Ladder Outreach is working so hard to build Eden Village of Louisville. Fingers crossed that the last inspection coming back next week is positive. According to a recent HUD meeting, the following information was shared about gap availability for housing different groups in 2025:

For every 100 homeless veterans, there are 145 available permanent housing units.
For every 100 homeless families, there are 58 available permanent housing units.
For every 100 chronically homeless single adults, there are 18 available permanent housing units available.

Eden Villages provide permanent housing for homeless single adults; exactly where the most need remains. We need more of them. ❤️

🌱 LAND UPDATE: Big steps forward! 🏡

Things have been moving fast behind the scenes over the last few weeks, and we are incredibly excited to share a look at what our team has been tackling to bring this vision to life:

Environmental Study: Safety and sustainability come first. We have narrowed down our search for the right firm to conduct our environmental assessment, ensuring the land is 100% safe and ready for development.

Financing: We are actively meeting with banks and exploring various loan options to secure the best possible terms for the land purchase.

Phase I Design: The blueprints are coming together! Our team is putting the finishing touches on the final designs for Phase I of the build. We are so close to seeing those first tiny homes and the community center transition from ideas into reality.

Every meeting, spreadsheet, and design tweak brings us one step closer to building this incredible community. Thank you all for your continued support—we can't wait to share what comes next!

We know the solution.

This is now a daily necessity. No women’s shelter beds available before the beds hotline even OPENS!
We have to do better as a community. Those of us on the ground every day see the tidal wave coming. It is not enough to try and react anymore. We need to act!
More shelter, more housing, more compassion!
Let’s advocate to get upstream of this crisis instead of sound bites and empty promises. Call your council person and advocate for more funding, not cuts!

Huge Milestone! Eden Village Has a Potential Home! 🌳✨

We have incredible news to share: the land purchase agreement is signed! After months of careful searching, negotiation, and prayer, Eden Village has a potential home to grow into.

What does this mean?
We are officially in a 90-day due diligence period—conducting the environmental, soil, and site studies needed to move forward before signing a contract with full confidence that every dollar you’ve donated is being invested on solid ground.

The 90-Day Challenge: Help Us Stay Debt-Free!

While our team is busy doing the site studies over the next 90 days, we have a parallel goal: we need to raise the remaining 50% of our funding in this same 90-day window.
