Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, dedication, and selfless service will never be forgotten.

This Memorial Day, the Hearts Behind the Badge family stands with gratitude for all who gave their lives protecting the freedoms we hold dear. We also keep the families of our fallen heroes close in our thoughts and prayers.

As we gather with loved ones today, may we take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this day and remember those who never made it home.

Join us! 🎣

Sunday, June 21 from 12:30–4:00 PM at Ariel-Foundation Park for a special Father’s Day fishing event hosted by the Knox County Fatherhood Initiative and New Directions! Families can enjoy fishing together, free sack lunches, and children will receive a FREE rod & reel while supplies last*

Already have your own fishing gear? Feel free to bring your own rod and reel and spend the afternoon making memories together on the water! Live bait will be provided.

ODNR officers will also be on site to teach and assist, making this a fun and memorable afternoon for dads, kids, and families in our community.

We can’t wait to celebrate fatherhood, connection, and quality time together! 👨‍👧‍👦

*Rods and reels will be provided to youth under the age of 16 while supplies last.

What a great week it was at the KCSO for Law Enforcement Week!
