We’re absolutely exploding right now—attendance has more than doubled this week and then some! Congratulations to all of our winners!

Registration is already open for next week, and if we get the same kind of turnout we had this past Thursday, we’re in for another fantastic evening.

A huge shoutout to all of our members and non-members who came out and supported Hollywood. Your participation is what makes these nights such a success.

And don’t forget—Hollywood Best Ball is coming in the NEAR, NEAR future! Stay tuned for details.

In celebration of this weekend’s Elinor Wible Memorial Tournament, we’re honoring one of the most accomplished golfers in the history of the American Legion Country Club.

Elinor H. Wible’s record speaks for itself:

🏆 48-Time American Legion Country Club Champion
🏆 25-Time Central Counties Champion
🏆 Featured in Sports Illustrated’s “Faces in the Crowd” (1986)
🏆 Huntingdon County Sports Hall of Fame Inductee (1998)

A Bucknell graduate, educator, businesswoman, and community leader, Elinor’s impact reached far beyond the golf course. Yet it was her excellence, sportsmanship, and love for the game that left a lasting mark on ALCC.

For nearly five decades, she set the standard.

As golfers gather this weekend to compete in her honor, we remember a remarkable woman whose legacy continues to inspire our club and community.

I strongly urge any and all Post members to vote today.

There is little reason to complain, voice concerns, or even offer great suggestions if you’re unwilling to run for office or unwilling to vote for those who are willing to serve. Voting is the backbone of our organization, and with the ever-changing landscape of our Post, every member has a voice.

Today is your opportunity to make that voice heard through the proper voting process. Whether you’re happy with the current direction of the Post or believe changes need to be made, your vote matters.

If you’re a Post member, I look forward to seeing you upstairs and filling out a ballot.

We have cart paths for a reason, and we also have signs clearly marking where carts are not permitted.

Do NOT drive through the no-mow area coming down #9. There is absolutely no excuse for it.

Anyone caught driving in restricted areas will be removed from the course immediately and may lose playing privileges for an undetermined amount of time. Even worse, you risk damaging the cart, the golf course, or causing an injury to yourself or others.

Please respect the course, follow all cart signage, and stay on designated cart paths.
