A foul omen hangs over the kingdom.

Awakened by the scent of burning corn, Sir Stigma Buster springs from his bed and hastily gathers his armor. With Hopebringer in hand, he knows this is no ordinary disturbance. Somewhere across the realm, the dragon Stigma stirs once more—spreading fear, silence, and misunderstanding wherever its shadow falls.

But every hero knows that battles are not won alone.

When the call to action comes NEXT WEEK during WCIL Gives, brave villagers can join the quest. Every gift helps equip NAMI West Central Illinois with the tools needed to bring support groups, education programs, advocacy, and hope to those facing mental health challenges across our 10-county realm.

We are advocates for those dealing with mental health crises in Adams County.

And for those struggling, you are not alone.

As we close out Mental Health Awareness Month, be an active advocate. Reach out to someone you think could be struggling. Reach out to someone who isn’t… just in case they are.

We shouldn’t just be aware of mental health in May. Check on your people year round.

🌅 The sun rose over West Central Illinois like any other day...

The fields stretched to the horizon. The towns stirred awake. And for a brief moment, all seemed peaceful.

Then came a deafening...

RAWR!

🐉 The Stigma Beast has arrived.

Its dark clouds of fear, misunderstanding, and silence are creeping across our communities, threatening to keep people from seeking help when they need it most.

But this story is far from over.

A brave band of heroes is gathering to face the beast head-on, and soon they'll embark on a quest to Slay the Stigma during WCIL Gives, June 8–11, 2026.
