Please help us honor and help victims for International Denim Day.
What is Denim Day? Denim day is an international day observed to promote awareness against s*xual assault. In the summer of 1992 in Italy an 18-year-old girl was r***d by her 45-year-old driving instructor. One year later, perpetrator was released after the court overturned his sentence saying the girl’s jeans were so tight that they could not have been taken off without her help thus her consenting to the s*x. The next day, Italian women showed up all over the place in jeans to protest the overturned conviction. Now it is celebrated worldwide to advocate against s*xual assault.
What can you do? You can help us help others by asking your employer or permitting employees to wear jeans in exchange for a donation to the Sexual Abuse and Assault Victims treatment scholarship.
