Healing Heroes Homestead This program is intended for veterans, first responders, and their families.

Providing the stress-free opportunity to get out in nature and spend time with our animals, work in the garden, hit the trails, do a little fishing, and even a little camping! Providing opportunities for Veterans, First Responders, and their Families to come out and enjoy nature on a friendly, local Homestead!

Our hearts go out to the families of the Iowa National Guardsmen that lost their lives today in Syria and those that are still fighting for their lives from this horrible attack today. May God protect our men and women that are deployed around the world in defense of freedom!

Instead of just handing out pork loins for the holidays this year, we would like to hand out homesteading gift baskets. If you or anybody that you know has something that they would like to donate and add to these gift baskets, please let us know. Likewise, if you or anybody you know would like to receive a gift basket, please let us know as well. These are for all veterans, first responders, and their families. We have been experimenting with making homemade dog food. Cooked pork loin, oatmeal, brown rice, squash, and sweet potatoes. We tried green peppers the first time, but Dude would eat around them. He seems to really like it and it's a lot healthier than store-bought food. When buying the ingredients in bulk, it's cheaper as well.
