Quick google search yielded these two articles back to back. As parents in the SL School District it is time for us to gain a unified voice and establish a seat at the table.

LEGISLATIVE UPDATE:

HB 1007 (“Face Covering Requirements”) just *passed*
It passed the House and Senate, both by veto-proof majorities.

This bill prohibits local schools boards from mandating face masks in public schools during instruction, athletics, or extracurricular activities following the completion of this school year.

Also, if you have students in colleges or universities, this bill also prohibits institutions of higher education in Utah from requiring masks after spring semester of 2021. At the University of Utah, masks will no longer be required as of this Monday, May 24.
