Our veterans and public servants risked everything to keep our families, our communities, and our nation safe. Yet too often, when they return home carrying invisible scars, they are met with resistance instead of compassion.

That’s why I purchased a home in Mount Laurel, NJ, and dedicated it as Betty’s House of Healing. It is not a facility — it is a home. A safe, peaceful place where veterans and service members can live and heal with dignity. Sadly, some neighbors are trying to block this mission, saying it “belongs somewhere else.”

We cannot be a nation that cheers our heroes when they serve, but discards them when they need us most. Recovery is not weakness — it is courage. And God commands us to love our neighbor as ourselves.

What’s on my mind? Hope, healing, and the power of community. 💙

Right here in Mount Laurel, something special is happening—and it’s all thanks to local businesses, neighbors, and volunteers who believe in giving back.

We’re building Betty’s House of Healing—a transitional home for veterans recovering from trauma, addiction, and life after service. The vision includes:
✔️ Affordable housing in a loving peaceful neighborhood!
✔️ A saltwater pool for aquatic therapy (still in need of renovation)...
✔️ Job skills and financial literacy support
✔️ A peaceful outdoor sanctuary for prayer and reflection
✔️ And—if we’re blessed—a coding class for veterans’ children and and agricultural therapy for flowers and gardening!

A few amazing local businesses have already stepped forward to donate their time, tools, and services—and I couldn’t be more grateful.

But there’s still work to do—and this mission is bigger than me.
