Huge shout out to the local Rotary Clubs in Shenandoah County: Mt. Jackson-Edinburg Rotary Club , Rotary Club of New Market Virginia , The Rotary Club of Woodstock VA , Strasburg Rotary. The dedication of the amazing volunteers, spearheaded by Bill Grass, was able to sell over 20,000 books during last week's annual Route 11 Yard Crawl. The $4,000+ proceeds of the book sale will go right back in the local community as new books will be purchased to support the county's school literacy LEAP program. It takes a village and these Rotarians are leading by example. Thanks to all of the volunteers that helped to make this a successful event.

At today's Mt. Jackson-Edinburg Rotary Club meeting we had the opportunity to celebrate our newest Paul Harris award members; Bill Grass and Jimmy Laub. The Paul Harris Fellow recognition is one of the highest honors for a Rotarian. It embodies the Rotary founder's ideals through outstanding community service.
