Hiya everyone my name is Larry and I'm the crusader for the NJ/PA area. Critter Crusaders is a reptile rescue made up of a group of like minded people that share the same passion for ALL reptiles. We believe that each reptile has the right to be treated the way we, as humans would want to be treated. Each of us shares a passion and a desire for reptiles that burns deep within our hearts. s has our own specialty: snakes, turtles, lizards, frogs, etc. and this gives us the ability to turn no reptile away. We currently have Critter Crusader's in NJ, NY, PA, and DE. We are currently in the filing process for our 501(c)(3), IRS pub. 557, non-profit status. We hope to have this done as soon as the finances become available. Our mission is to take in injured, abused and/or unwanted reptiles and provide them with proper veterinarian care. Help the reptile to overcome any harsh treatment by previous owner(s) (when needed). Provide education to the public on the proper care of reptiles and their habitat. As owners and caretakers of reptiles, we feel strongly that the public benefits greatly from having access to the education of reptiles. It is our mission to take these reptiles in, provide them with medical treatment as needed and give them the unconditional love and respect they deserve so that they may overcome any abuse they suffered (for some reptiles this process could take up to a year). We do re-home many of our rescues, but before we re-home any reptile, each reptiles will be human friendly, medically and physical fit and free of any mental or emotional problems. We only adopt to people who are willing to undergo our strict adoption process. Every adopter must submit an adoption application (ask for application via email) and agree to follow up phone call(s). Please know that a photo ID will be required. If we feel that a reptile is unable to be placed due to aggression or health issues we keep the reptile and it becomes a permanent resident in one of our homes.
