League of Saint Anthony

League of Saint Anthony Give the Gift of Prayer! Saint Lawrence Seminary was founded in 1860 by two Swiss priests, Fathers Francis Haas and Bonaventure Frey. They came to Mt.

Calvary in 1857 to establish the Capuchin Order in the United States, with a dream of providing an opportunity for young men to prepare for a life of active ministry in the Catholic Church. For over 150 years, the generosity of benefactors has made this dream come true. Today, benefactors continue to join together with Saint Lawrence Seminary in accomplishing what the Church and the world so desperately need, a loving ministry to God’s people.

Today the Church celebrates the second feast of Saint Joseph; the Memorial of Saint Joseph the Worker. Saint Ephrem shared that “It was the hands of Joseph the carpenter that trained and guided the hands of God.” Join our seminarians today in prayer as with honor Saint Joseph.

On April 24th, the Church celebrates the Feast of Saint Fidelis of Sigmaringen. We take this day to celebrate his courage and his life of devotion to the Catholic Church. When faced with renouncing his faith or death, he chose death, affirming his commitment and faith in the Church.
Saint Fidelis of Sigmaringen, Pray for us!

Jesus Christ continues to speak to us through the Scriptures; they are a love letter from the Father who keeps his promises, to his children journeying through the challenges and joys of life. There is nothing greater in all of our formation programs – academical or catechetical – than to come to know this God who reveals Himself in Jesus Christ. Let the Scriptures be an integral part of your life. Pax et Bonum. https://www.stlawrenceseminary.org
