MOUNT AIRY — John Rasper Hamilton Jr., 93, of Mount Airy, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013. He was born on Dec. 21, 1919, in Troy, one of eight children of John and Alma Green Hamilton. He

Mount Airy Lion, Hylton Wright, was presented his 65 year pin in 2011. He served the club in many capacities. Hylton passed away early Saturday and will be sorely missed. The funeral service will be at Haymore Memorial Baptist Church on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. Please remember wife, Betty, and daughter, Tamra and husband Ronnie as they go through this difficult time.

BROOMS>>>>>>>Don't forget the Mount Airy Lions Club sells brooms. They will not only keep your floors clean, it will help meet the needs of the blind, visually impaired and less fortunate. The Mount Airy Lions Club collects used eye glasses at two locations. A newly refurbished collection facility is in front of Lowes Foods and another inside of Mayberry Mall. Feel free to drop glasses off at these locations. Also glasses can be given to any Lions Club Member.
