⚠️ Traffic Advisory ⚠️ From the Fire Dept.

There is currently water on the roadway along Alternate 75 between Mounds and Kiefer.

The road is still passable at this time, but please slow down and use caution when traveling through the area. Water on the roadway can create hazardous driving conditions, especially at higher speeds.

Please allow extra travel time, watch for changing conditions, and remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown if water levels continue to rise.

Stay safe and drive carefully.

📢 Congratulations to Our 2026 Monadnock Defense Technology Instructor Graduates! 💥

The Mounds Police Department proudly hosted a 40-hour instructor-level course covering Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing, OC Spray, and Baton employment. Officers from several surrounding agencies joined two of our own Patrolmen during this intensive, hands-on program.

👏 We commend these dedicated officers for taking the initiative to become certified instructors — equipping them to train others in safe, effective, and professional use-of-force practices.

💪 Your commitment strengthens not only your own departments, but the law enforcement community as a whole.
