Their Sacrifice Endures

On National POW/MIA Day, we honor the American service members who were taken as and those who remain .

We remember their courage.
We honor their sacrifice.
And we reaffirm our commitment to never leave them behind.

Until they are home, they are not forgotten.

This Friday morning, our community is invited to come together to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Join us at College Square at 10:00 AM for a special 25th anniversary remembrance ceremony, followed by a memorial stair climb and one-mile indoor memorial walk.

Local firefighters will complete a symbolic 110-story stair climb in full gear, while memorial walk participants carry the name of one of the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice. At the finish, each name will be read aloud and honored with the ringing of a bell.

Guests will also have an opportunity to view September 11 memorabilia, and everyone who participates in the memorial walk will receive a small commemorative gift.
