Thankful for the state investing in these grants. It means alot to volunteer departments to receive grants.

Today the State of Tennessee held a luncheon for the recipients on the 2026 State Fire Marshal’s grant. Grants are extremely hard to obtain so for East, North, South, and West Hamblen Volunteer Firefighters to all get this grant is greatly appreciated. The Morristown Rescue Squad also received a grant through this process. These grants will help our local community as these volunteers will be better equipped to serve Hamblen County. Some of the equipment purchased with this grant is Structural firefighting gear, Washer and dryer to keep the gear and firefighters safe. Thank you goes out to the State Fire Marshall’s office for this grant.
