More than 800 of our supporters have already spoken up about changes to the Clean Water Act this year, and today, we're asking you to take action again.

The EPA and Army Corps are considering additional changes to the definition of the waters protected under the Clean Water Act. EPA's own estimates show that 96% of West Virginia's wetlands could lose federal protection under its 2025 proposal.

Our smallest streams and wetlands play an important role in keeping our water clean, supporting wildlife, and protecting communities from flooding. They deserve strong protections, whether or not they flow year-round.

Speak up today to tell EPA that our smallest streams and wetlands matter. The public comment period closes October 9.

Under the guise of what he calls the Powering the Great American Comeback Initiative—a kind of Project 2025 spin-off—Lee Zeldin has mounted the most dramatic assault on environmental policy in modern US history. If enacted, his dozens of deregulatory policies will make it easier for power plants to dispose of coal ash; expose more communities of color to air and water pollution; and, on the whole, make air, water, and soil dirtier for all Americans.

Days after moving to repeal the Roadless Rule, the administration is now coming for the Travel Management Rule. Since 2005, this rule has kept unchecked ATV and dirt bike use from tearing through sensitive habitat, disrupting wildlife, and crowding out hikers, hunters, and anyone looking for quiet in the backcountry.

Now the administration wants to flip it: instead of trails being closed unless opened to off-roading, everything would be open unless closed.

We already solved this problem once. Tell the Forest Service to keep the Travel Management Rule in place AND COMMENT NOW AT sc.org/travel-management
