District 29: May Recap: 100%+
Good afternoon District 29, keeping this month brief:
Membership:
BLUF: this goal was tough!! Goal was 100%+ and we hit target date with 96.86%. I will provide more details tomorrow on our page, SATURDAY SITREP
We have 149 members to go; we are so close. We need only 7 more members per Post..that is VERY attainable.
Can we do it?? We ALL must work hard but I believe we can. I know some of us have public outreach tables, excellent initiative.
We donate thousands out to community, is your Post covering some of your Veterans? Maybe this year is a tough year for them, maybe it’s a good way to say thank you.
Reach out to other Posts to see if they need help, we are in this together. There has been Posts that have done a “paid it forward” VETERANS taking care of VETERANS, this has been a huge success.
Lets be the example to all other Districts that District 29 exceeds expectations on taking care of our Veterans, buddy checks, and having that personal connection!

- PSSH will have their Memorial Day ceremony on 24MAY, please bring your Post flag to proudly display
-Many are involved with Memorial Day Parades and I couldn’t be more proud. Take pictures and honor our fallen. It’s a very busy time of year for all of us and can’t thank you enough for what you do.
-Make sure to send all paperwork in as requested from Department.
Fundraising Committee:
Chairperson will be our District 1st Vice, he will be out of town for our District Meeting but will take final volunteers. Commanders bring those names with you. No more than 2/Post
They will present our options at our June meeting so we can hit the ground running. Update: NO NAMES RECEIVED…this is crucial
Next Target Date is: June 14th Round up !!!
Next District meeting is, June 28th, at Corry, 2pm.
I have two service officers scheduled as guest speakers, bring your questions for after the meeting
If you need anything, give me a call!
Be safe and keep up the great work for our Veterans.
