C2Life Foundation provided over 80,000 HEALTHY & MEDICALLY TAILORED meals for the NC HOP program serving our neighbors across an 18 county region. This program was revolutionary in the approach & the outcomes were significant!

Our organization remains hopeful that our NC legislators can see their way to approving a state budget that includes support for HOP!

The end of the Healthy Opportunities Pilot in North Carolina is a story of how MAHA might actually be realized — or not — at the state level.

HOP is working & saving tax payer 💵!!!

The latest numbers show 656,000 North Carolinians have gained coverage through Medicaid since it expanded in 2023.

The Healthy Opportunities Pilot has allowed us to provide over 83,000 healthy & medically tailored meals & 155 nutritional consults w/ our registered dietitian to support of neighbors in an 18 county region. All while creating 6 new part-time positions & reinvesting over $920k back into our community. Without addressing social needs, it’s more challenging to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Did you know that 80% of a person’s health is shaped by access to food, housing, and safety — not just medical care?

The Healthy Opportunities Pilot (HOP) was created in 2022 to improve lives by addressing these social drivers of health. And it's working.

In Western NC alone, HOP services reached almost 11,000 people in 2024, helping families thrive — not just survive.

It is an honor and privilege to partner with Impact Health to serve our neighbors throughout WNC. We are also deeply grateful for Dogwood Health Trust & their quick response to release funds to help make our urgent response possible.

After Hurricane Helene, our region needed fast, flexible, and community-rooted support. Thanks to generous funding from Dogwood Health Trust, we were able to respond quickly, providing grants to more than 60 of our HOP partner organizations already doing the hurricane relief work on the ground.
