Distinguished Young Women of Rowan County Scholarship--Leadership--Talent

Founded in 1958 in Mobile, Alabama, Distinguished Young Women is the largest and oldest national scholarship program for
high school girls. It has provided life-changing experiences for more than 200,000 young women and more than $3.3 million
in cash scholarships at the National Finals alone, and more than $92 million at local, state and national programs combined. Distinguished Young Women strive

Thank you to each of our supporters for helping us reach the 4th highest cash scholarship total in the state for the 2026 program!

With your help, we are able to award our participants $17,900 in cash scholarships to use toward their education. We couldn’t do this without you!

State week kicks off TOMORROW! Madalyn, Jayla, and Lily will head to Lexington to spend the week preparing for the state showcases on Friday and Saturday where the 2026 Distinguished Young Woman of Kentucky will be named.

Our Rowan, Bath, and Carter County representatives are at the Class of 2026 Kentucky Distinguished Young Woman Orientation today! We are excited to have a participant in each of the participant groups for this year’s showcase on January 9th and 10th!

Lily Dickerson, Bath County’s representative, is participant #5 in the blue group!

Madalyn Campbell, Rowan County’s representative, is participant #19 in the pink group!

Jayla Phillips, Carter County’s representative, is participant #23 in the green group!
